Member of the Board

Most recently, Paul Neumann served as the General Counsel of Trinity Health, a nonprofit health care system with 94 hospitals and 120 continuing care facilities in 22 states. He oversaw 65 attorneys and numerous other support staff across the country. Paul has extensive experience in nonprofit governance, mergers and acquisitions, health care law, and advocacy. Before that, he was General Counsel for ten years of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), another multistate nonprofit health care delivery system based in Denver. As part of that job, he also assisted U.S. hospitals in “adopting” overseas hospitals in countries like Vietnam, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Another aspect of his role was to create foundations in communities where CHI had sold hospitals in order to provide non-institutional health care to marginalized populations. Paul also worked in the San Francisco office of the law firm of Weissburg and Aronson (which became Foley & Lardner) for ten years.

He graduated from the University of Virginia law school and received a B.A. from Haverford College in Pennsylvania.
