MCD Global Health has worked for more than 40 years to improve conditions for women and children, such as high-mortality complications of pregnancy, children’s health conditions, and family planning services in low-resource communities.

Communicable Diseases

MCD Global Health has in-depth experience of working in the area of communicable diseases, which are infectious diseases that are spread from one person to another in different ways, such as being bitten by an insect, coming in contact with blood and bodily fluids, or breathing in an airborne virus.

The StopPalu+ program, led by RTI International, supported the Guinean National Malaria Control Program in achieving the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI)’s target of reducing malaria morbidity and mortality by 75% through malaria diagnostics.

PAPHyR: Program for Improving Access to Sanitation and Hygienic Practices in Rural Areas

The Program for Improving Access to Sanitation and Hygienic Practices in Rural Areas (Programme d'Amelioration de l'Acces a l'Assainissement et des Pratiques d'Hygiene en milieu Rural (PAPHyR)), funded by the Global Sanitation Fund, supported the Government of Benin in achieving access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and to end open defecation by 2030.
