LaCasse, Eng.Sc.D., President and CEO, and Stephen Gove, Board Chair RE: New CEO We are very pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of Medical Care Development has voted to employ Mark Battista, MD, JD, as the next President and CEO of MCD. Dr. Battista will join MCD on December 1, 2008. Dr. Battista was selected from a large national pool of well qualified applicants. His education, experience, and personality are such that we believe the transition over the next several months will be seamless. MCD, under Mark’s leadership, is in a great position to develop new programs and business and to continue to prosper. We look forward eagerly to working with Mark during the transition and have great expectations for the future of MCD. MCD is a truly unique organization that has been improving health in Maine and in developing countries since it was founded in 1966. Our staff, all of you and those who preceded you, are the foundation of MCD’s success.
