Maine Practice Improvement Network (MPIN) is a collaborative effort of Maine-based organizations that dedicate personnel to assist physician practices and health centers to improve the quality and efficiency of their systems for providing care. MPIN includes Physician Hospital Organizations (PHOs), professional associations, group practices, and development organizations whose quality improvement staffs share best practices, tools and techniques in quality improvement that will directly impact physician practice performance throughout the state.
MPIN will provide quality improvement advisors and training to assist any healthcare organization. These advisors enhance each organization's infrastructure in leading or co-leading various quality initiatives that improve patient safety and satisfaction, efficiency, effectiveness, and timeliness of patient care. MPIN can assist organizations to support practices to improve performance and to help design and implement quality and efficiency initiatives in physician offices.
