IT Manager, Augusta, ME - US

We are currently looking for an Information Technology Manager to join our team. The IT Manager will work under the Director of Operations, and will be responsible for administering a multiple-server LAN/WAN with associated software applications and peripherals within a mixed Microsoft Server environment. This position is also responsible for appropriate planning, installation, operation, and maintenance for ensuring a robust and stable system. The IT Manager will have secondary responsibilities for installing end-user hardware and software, analyzing and resolving user-computing problems, and repairing computer and peripheral equipment.
The IT Manager will also support the deployment of appropriate technology to MCD’s overseas offices and will provide remote support and training to the staff in those countries. This positon will supervise a Tier 1/Tier 2 IT technician. As part of a team structure, the person in this position will have a key role in coordinating IT work and technical support activities for all MCD projects.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years’ experience in information technology management.
Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
Strong problem solving and communication skills, verbal and written.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
