Medical Care Development, a non-profit agency, serving individuals with mental health and other disabilities, is accepting applications for per diem/relief staff for all shifts including weekends. As a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT-1), you will work with residents on activities of daily living at our state of the art 8 bed facility located at 1605 Essex Street in Bangor. We are looking for responsible, caring and positive team players. A high school diploma or equivalent, valid Maine driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in a challenging environment are required. MHRT-1 certification and prior experience in working with individuals with Mental Health disabilities is preferred. The MHRT-1 certification is a combination of CRMA, MANDT, CPR/FA, and MHSS training.

Public Health Project Coordinator
Medical Care Development is accepting applications for a Project Coordinator position with the 21 Reasons project (www.21reasons.org) at 48 Free Street in Portland. The Project Coordinator will assist with project implementation and provide general operational support for 21 Reasons projects and staff. This is a part-time, 24-hour per week position with benefits. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for participating in project research including data entry, analysis and report writing, contract development and deliverables, and budget development and monitoring. General project duties include assisting in writing project communications materials (blog posts, newsletter, handouts, web content) and conducting outreach/collaboration with project partners such as schools, youth organizations, parent groups, and alcohol retailers. This position will create and maintain databases, record and distribute meeting minutes, maintain website and social media sites, and coordinate arrangements for meetings and events.
The person in this position must be an energetic self-starter who is able to function successfully in a collaborative team environment or independently. Exceptional writing, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills are essential in addition to a comprehensive understanding of and experience with all aspects of data analysis and reporting. Must be comfortable interacting with the public and conducting presentations as well as relate well to co-workers, diverse project partners and community stakeholders. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks. Must be able to organize, track, and prioritize workload.
Bachelor's degree in health-related field and at least two years of relevant work experience is preferred. Master's level training in related field is a plus. Must have detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software programs. Experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create charts and graphs as well as database and website maintenance experience are a plus.
