Project Specialist - HIV Care and AIDS Drug Assistance Program

Medical Care Development has a unique opportunity for a Project Specialist to work with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Infectious Disease, HIV, STD, and Viral Hepatitis Program.  The position is located in Augusta.  The Project Specialist will focus on getting Mainers living with HIV connected with care, through the statewide AIDS Drug Assistance Program, and the six funded case management agencies.  This is a full time position requiring the ability to adjust schedule to reflect the tasks of the job.  Maine CDC would also consider a part-time position to the right candidate.  We are seeking someone with knowledge of working with community coalitions and the organization skills to effectively manage health systems.  Must have excellent attention to detail, knowledge of budgets, and an understanding of the complexities of health insurance, public health, and social marketing.  A Bachelor's degree in health education required plus two years relevant experience.  Please send a letter with salary requirements to Director of Human Resources, Medical Care Development, 11 Parkwood Drive, Augusta ME 04330 or send by email to barbarak@mcd.org.

Direct Care Staff - Skowhegan and Norway

Medical Care Development, a non-profit agency, serving individuals with developmental and other disabilities, is seeking direct care aides to work with residents on activities of daily living in the Skowhegan and Norway area.  We are looking for responsible, caring and positive team players.  A high school diploma or equivalent, valid Maine driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in a challenging environment required.  Applicants with experience in working with the developmentally disabled preferred.  Hours will be variable.
