Mission Statement
The mission of Medical Care Development's Professional Training Department is to provide quality content that is valuable, relevant and accessible for the professional development and career advancement of individuals in the health care and social services fields.
We do this by:
- Providing knowledgeable and experienced instructors and speakers.
- Continuously developing course and program content that is current, relevant, and creative.
- Providing trainings and programs in accessible locations and/or formats.
- Retaining provider status and offering continuing education credits from high quality affiliate organizations.
Best Practices
The professional training department will be consistent with following best practices to ensure that quality, consistency and creativity is maintained:
- Meet with instructors on a monthly basis.
- Review policies and procedures on an annual basis to align with current market and competitor practices.
- Review course content on an annual basis to ensure that quality, relevancy and creativity is maintained.
- Course instructors and program speakers will be evaluated by all participates at each event.
- Professional Training course instructors will be monitored by an internal evaluator annually.
- MCD will employ or certify that all staff, instructors and speakers are knowledgeable, experienced and provide value to the professional development and career advancement of individuals in the health care and human service fields.
- Maintain provider status with high quality organization in order to offer valuable continuing education credits.
- Provide outstanding customer service in an effort to maintain relationships and partnerships
The Professional Training Division provides support to Medical Care Development's Community Living Division and offers essential courses to those in the health and human services profession. We believe that training for staff is paramount for residents to receive excellent care. Medical Care Development also offers outside agencies the opportunity to request trainings for their own employees onsite. One of our certified trainers will come to your facility and teach the course you need at a contracted rate.
