MCD's six psychiatric group homes and supported apartments are located throughout Maine and provide housing and services to 58 clients with chronic mental illness.
Each facility has a full complement of staff that provide "around the clock" care and work in partnership with other professionals to provide quality rehabilitation and personal care services for our clients. We work in close partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services.
Individual growth is supported and each client is encouraged to strive for independence. When an individual is ready, transition to a less restrictive community setting is made. The goal is for each individual to achieve their objectives and lead a full life. We are happy to report that several individuals have made the transition successfully.
