Durres General Hospital Project: Construction Project Management Assistance Ministry of Health, Islamic Development Bank (1999 - 2001)
With funding from the Islamic Development Bank, MCDI facilitated the services of a qualified Project Management Expert/Health Facilities Planner who implemented the Durres General Hospital Construction Project on behalf of the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Albania. The technician worked with and trained the MoH's Project Implementation Unit on matters relating to the physical planning of the new and existing facilities at Durres General Hospital.
This collaboration included participating in the analysis and approval of the consultant's design proposals, developing work plans and project implementation schedules, preparing tender documents, drafting terms of reference for the site-supervision firms and consultants, establishing effective monitoring systems, and supervising the procurement of medical equipment and hospital furniture.
